Happy 4th Birthday To Hope

Busy Busy Week

We gave Hope a week long birthday celebration this year since we were away from family and friends.  We started the celebration off with a trip to Build a Bear to get her birthday bear on Monday.  Tuesday she had her gymnastics class and got a special blue ribbon. On Wednesday, Hope and I went to Dinosaur World, which was fun but a little scary too. She opened up her presents on Thursday, then went to swim lessons and finally we sang happy birthday to her with close friends and family who have iphones joining in via FaceTime. Friday we went to the pumpkin patch with some new friends from church. Saturday we packed up the car and joined our friends from San Diego who now live here in Florida at the beach for some fun in the sun. I think she had a wonderful birthday this year.

Gymnastics

About a week after we arrived in Tampa, I found a gymnastics center that not only has a fabulous gymnastics program for kids but also has great swim lessons too.  Win! Win!  Hope absolutely loves gymnastics and swimming.

Blue ribbon for completing her first 8 week set of lessons. We have been to three gymnastics facilities (2 in San Diego, and 1 here in Florida, and this one in Florida is by far the best.) We are so lucky.

Dinosaur World

At Dinosaur World we not only were able to see some life size dinosaur statues, but also dig for fossils, sift for gems, uncover a dinosaur skeleton in the sand, and see some real life dinosaur bones and fossils.

October 6th!!!!

Hope woke up bright and early and ready to open up her birthday presents.

Vanilla cake with sprinkles.  Yum!

I got the idea to see if our family and friends who have iphones would like to join in via FaceTime to sing happy birthday to Hope and watch her blow out her candles.  It was a hit!

Pumpkin Patch

Our new ward has a lot of kids Hope's age.  We look forward to having many more playdates in the future with these cute kids and their families.

Birthday Party at the Beach

We absolutely love the beach here in Florida.  The water this day was not as clear as it was the time we visited the beach due to the hurricane, but the water temperature was perfect.  We were joined by  our good friends that we met back in San Diego who now live about 2 hours away from us.  We look forward to many more fun adventures together.

Hope wanted an Encanto birthday party this year, so that is what she got.  Encanto birthday cake with freeze dried ice cream.
Making drip castles

The boys wanted me to burry them in the sand and make shark fins and tail.
