Tibbitts Family

 This year for Thanksgiving we decided that we would spend the day at a Disney theme park since we would be away from family.  My birthday was also on Thanksgiving this year, so Ray said I could pick what we did for the day.  Neither Ray or I had ever been to the Disney World Resort (except for Disney Springs, which we have attended a couple of times since moving to Tampa).  Reservations to the parks are needed and Disney's Magic Kingdom had already sold out of reservations, plus I picture the Magic Kingdom being a lot like Disneyland in California, which I have been to many times.  A Disney cast member I spoke with said that Thanksgiving is notorious for being the most crowded day of the year, so she recommended we attend either EPCOT or Disney's Animal Kingdom.  We have been to many zoos, so we decided EPCOT was the place for us.  We left our apartment at 6 am on Thanksgiving, so we could get to the park when it opened at 8 am.  After a quick st...

Halloween Time! Trunk or Treat at the Church The Saturday before Halloween, Ray, Hope, and I joined our ward for the annual Trunk or Treat activity.  First was dinner and carnival games inside then candy collecting outside.  Such a fun night with our new friends. Hope collecting candy.  This year, she was aware she can't have candy with nuts, and she shocked us when she informed people she can't have candy with nuts. This little girl LOVES Halloween. We decorated our truck with the Disney's Frozen theme.  Luisa from Disney's Encanto.  We had to get a donkey to complete the costume.  Hope loves to play the carnival games. One of Hope's favorite Disney characters in Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.  Here she and Ray are with Gaston seeing if Gaston is as strong as Luisa and can hold a donkey.  I can't wait to take her to Disney World so she can meet more or her favorite Disney characters. Busy Busy Week            We gave Hope a week long birthday celebration this year since we were away from family and friends.  We started the celebration off with a trip to Build a Bear to get her birthday bear on Monday.  Tuesday she had her gymnastics class and got a special blue ribbon. On Wednesday, Hope and I went to Dinosaur World, which was fun but a little scary too. She opened up her presents on Thursday, then went to swim lessons and finally we sang happy birthday to her with close friends and family who have iphones joining in via FaceTime. Friday we went to the pumpkin patch with some new friends from church. Saturday we packed up the car and joined our friends from San Diego who now live here in Florida at the beach for some fun in the sun. I think she had a wonderful birthday this year.
